Detroit (May 2011) - Contributions from the Masco Corporation
Foundation are helping Southwest Solutions, a Detroit-based charitable
organization, continue to serve local veterans. The donation will
support renovations at the Piquette Square facility near Detroit's New
Center, which offers a wide range of job training, educational and
social activities and other vital services for hundreds of veterans. The
funding will transform space into a new multi-purpose room named the
Masco Community Center for Veterans at Piquette Square scheduled to open
Fall 2011.

nation's veterans," said Melonie Colaianne, president of Masco
Corporation Foundation. "We're honored to partner with Piquette Square
project in Detroit, and to have the opportunity to give back to those
who have sacrificed so much for our country."
Piquette Square is a new apartment project built to house and support
homeless veterans. The facility offers comprehensive services to help
the residents develop self sufficiency and re-assimilate into the
community. Opened in June 2010, the facility boasts 150 apartment units
and approximately 11,000 square feet of common area.
